Hampshire's TSHARC Octopus touch screen controller chips are low cost, low power, touch screen controller solutions which dynamically decode 4, 5, or 8 wire analog resistive touch screens for RS-232, PS/2, USB, communication.

Equipped with Hampshire's own proprietary touch screen decoding firmware, the TSHARC-12 octopus controller chip will accurately decode over 16 million points

Hampshire controller chips have never become obsolete because they are produced with standard "off the shelf" silicon. All chip code revisions are written and supported in house to insure future compatibility as well as fixed available source code for past firmware revisions.

Hampshire's years of software and hardware experience in the touch screen industry insures high performance for all touch screen applications, regardless of touch screen manufacturer or construction. Hampshire's touch screen filtering algorithms are embedded into the firmware. These algorithms include debounce, sensitivity, smoothing and averaging that are further enhanced when used in conjunction with Hampshire's TSHARC drivers.

TSHARC controller chips are equipped with brown-out detect, watchdog and power up timer circuitry to insure proper function of your controller even when the controller has been improperly reset or powered off.

Standard TSHARC device drivers are provided at no charge. Drivers are developed and supported in house by Hampshire engineers specifically for TSHARC touch screen controller solutions. Customized firmware and drivers are also available and may be private labeled.
