TSHARC-12 Devil Ray Analog Resistive
Touch Screen Controller
The Devil Ray touch screen controller is designed to provide high performance, low cost, concurrent touch screen decoding for all 4, 5 and 8 wire analog resistive touch screens regardless of manufacturer or construction.
The auto-detect features of this controller enable it to auto-detect and configure itself for both RS-232 and USB communications. In addition, the Devil Ray will auto detect and configure itself for any analog resistive touch screen using either one of the two industry standard 4 or 5 wire pin-outs or any one of three industry standard 8 wire pin-outs.
The TSHARC-12 Devil Ray supports 12-bit (4,096 x 4,096) resolution which will perform well in all writing or touch applications.
Hampshire's propriety, flash updateable firmware will dynamically determine the best possible sample rate and sensitivity settings for all touch screen characteristics and application. The sample rate may also be set for 100 points/ second if that’s a requirement of your application.
For embedded applications, Hampshire's "Chip and Driver" solutions are true "Single Chip" solutions. These solutions dynamically support USB, RS-232, PS/2, TTL and SPI communications for 4, 5, or 8-wire analog resistive touch screens and include all Hampshire device drivers and technical support.
All Hampshire products and associated device drivers are developed and supported in house by Hampshire engineers. Custom firmware and drivers are available upon request.
