TSHARC-12m Mini Analog Resistive
Touch Screen Controller
The TSHARC “Mini” touch screen controller is designed to supply easy, low cost decoding of 4, 5 or 8 wire resistive touch screens where a small foot print board with RS-232 or PS/2 communications is required.
The TSHARC-12 Mini controller comes equipped with a .100” , 16 position dual row, right angle header for easy connection to 4, 5 or 8 wire resistive touch screens . The communication header is a .100”, 8 position right angle friction lock header. Users may specify other .100” connector types to meet their specific requirements if necessary. The Mini’s small overall size makes this controller ideal for applications where space is limited.
The “mini” controller supports 12 bit (4096 x 4096) resolution and will perform well in drawing and character capture, as well as touch only applications.
Hampshire's propriety firmware is designed to dynamically determine the best possible sample rate for the touch application being performed. Hampshire firmware increases performance and insures touch or drawing stability for all resistive touch screen types regardless of manufacturer or construction.
For embedded applications, Hampshire's "Chip and Driver" solutions are true "Single Chip" solutions. They dynamically support RS-232 and PS/2 communications as well as 4, 5, & 8-wire resistive touch screens. Hampshire device drivers and technical support is also included.
